Volunteer Overview

Platte River Prairies Volunteers Make a Difference!

Spend a Saturday morning with like-minded prairie enthusiasts, and keep these grasslands healthy and full of life. Platte River Prairies offers a variety of ways you can help protect and maintain this important habitat, including trail maintenance, invasive species management, seed collection and more. See below for volunteer opportunities and dates.

RSVP to Steve Schafer at steven.schafer@tnc.org. An email confirmation will be sent 7-10 days prior to each event. Last-minute cancellations because of weather or circumstances will be sent by email and phone calls to everyone who registered for that particular day. All workdays are Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

If you arrive late and no one is there, please call 402-310-1503. Bring sturdy shoes, a hat, a water bottle and work clothes. Sunscreen would be a good idea!
